Hornsby-Ku-ring-gai Network for Environmental and Sustainability Teachers (NEST)

Join like-minded primary and secondary teachers interested in environmental and sustainability education from local schools. During our initial meeting we will be planning the future directions of our network.

Location: Gibberagong Environmental Education Centre
Bobbin Head Picnic Area, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park
Food: Damper, bush jams, tea and coffee provided
Cost: Free
Who: All interested primary and secondary teachers from our local area.

As a member of the network:

  • Stay connected with other passionate teachers in the areas of environmental education, sustainability, Aboriginal education, kitchen gardens, school environment groups, teaching outside etc;
  • Hear from experts in the learning across the curriculum area of sustainability;
  • Meet in stunning locations for a variety of activities such as canoeing, walks,photography, bird-watching in local national parks and nature reserves;
