The NSW Environmental Trust is calling for applications to the Eco Schools grants program.
Eco Schools grants provide learning opportunities for students, teachers and school communities, through curriculum-based environmental projects. Up to 80 grants of $3,500 each will be available for a variety of environmental projects, such as:
- Gardens for growing fruit, vegetables, herbs, native and bushtucker plants
- Learning about sustainable living by composting, recycling, and saving water and energy
- Improving biodiversity and habitats in and around the local community
- Learning about traditional ways of caring for Country, and the importance of the environment in Aboriginal culture.
