Gibberagong Environmental Education Centre is a Department of Education School located in the picturesque area of Bobbin Head in the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. We offer school excursions, incursions and overnight programs.
The original custodians of the land, now known as Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, are the Guringai people, who it is believed inhabited the coastal land from Lake Macquarie to Botany Bay.
Gibberagong EEC aims to inspire young people to experience and connect with the natural world and encourage the development of positive behaviour change. We offer a variety of high-quality field work and environmental and sustainability education programs for primary school students K-6 and secondary students 7-12. Our programs are delivered across four locations in northern Sydney or can be tailored to programs within and around your school. Overnight programs for students are also offered at various sites, including dorm style accommodation at the Gibberagong Environmental Education Centre and camping available at the magnificent Muogamarra Nature Reserve and The Basin locations. The centre also delivers professional learning opportunities for teaching staff both at the centre and within schools or schools can book the Gibberagong facility for their own Staff Development Days.
